Chandigarh, September 12, 2024: The Rainbow Centre at University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, Chandigarh proudly hosted its inaugural event, an Intra-Department Poster Making Competition, today.
The Centre aims to promote inclusivity, awareness, and advocacy for transgender rights and sexuality in society. It seeks to educate aspiring lawyers about gender diversity and the spectrum of sexuality. The event saw enthusiastic participation from large number of students who created posters on the topic “I am not different”. The topic was given on the spot.
The competition concluded successfully, with cash prizes awarded to the top three winners. The event coordinators were Prof. Gulshan Kumar, Prof. Navneet Arora, Dr. Abha Sethi, and Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur. Student coordinators included Tanishq Kathuria, Akshita Girdhar, Aditeyen Chauhan, and Megha.
