Introduce OTS policy for flats in X, Y and Z Blocks of 256 Acre Scheme: Dr Thaman

Ludhiana: Ludhiana West Sub Division Grievances Redressal Committee member Dr Satish Kumar Thaman Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh and Punjab local Bodies Minister Brahm Mohindra requesting them to introduce a one-time settlement policy for flats located in X, Y and Z Blocks of 256 Acre Scheme of Maharishi Valmik Nagar, Ludhiana.
He said the scheme belonged to Improvement Trust, Ludhiana, adding that the residents are residing in the LIG and MIG flats of the X, Y and Z blocks since 1977. Therefore, it is high time to transfer these flats in their names.
He said the matter is already into the notice of all the concerned departments and authorities has he has been regularly following up the issue for the last sometimes. He said one time settlement, if introduced, will provide a great relief to the residents concerned. He said he has also been highlighting this matter in the media to expedite the matter as the possible time.
He has also requested to see that if these residential flats can be converted for commercial use under OTS Scheme.
He has sent copies of the representation to Punjab Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Ludhiana Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu and Ludhiana Improvement Trust chairman Raman Bala Subramium.
