Ludhiana: Ajay Tembhekar, Chief Regional Manager, Indian Overseas Bank, Ludhiana today said certain precautions must be taken care of while doing smart banking in view of COVID-19.
He added some of the precautions that must be taken care of, are as under:
• Use alternate delivery channels of banking such as ATM/CDM, for cash purpose
• Avoid handling of cash use net banking, mobile banking, UPI services, NEFT, RTGS, IMPS and other modes for transfer of funds
• Avoid to visit branch for non-important work such as balance inquiry and updating of passbook
• Be careful about phishing/wishing mails, be alert while doing digital transaction
• Don't become victim of fraud
• Avoid crowding in branch premises
• Wear mask, clean hands with sanitizers while entering into bank premises
• Cover your nose and mouth with handkerchief/tissue while sneezing and coughing
• Avoid personal touch with each other, shaking hands
