High Hopes On PM Modi’s Visit To Punjab
The dates for holding elections to Punjab Assembly may be announced at any moment and Model Code of Conduct will be implemented immediately after that. Therefore, no political party is behind each other in announcing the freebies, reforms to woo the voters. BJP Cadre in Punjab is having high hopes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Punjab on January 5. After the repeal of 3 Farm Laws, Modi is on a first visit to Punjab in Malwa area (Ferozepur) where he will address a massive public rally. Modi will be addressing the rally in the constituency to which Shiromini Alkali Dal (Badal) president Sukhbir Singh Badal represents in the Lok Sabha. It is clear that BJP will be contesting Punjab assembly elections in alliance with Capt Amarinder Singh and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa’s political parties. The people of Punjab and BJP leaders are hopeful that Modi will announce financial package for infrastructural, industrial and agriculture development in Punjab which can certainly yield more employment opportunities for the unemployed youths in coming years and halt the brain drain from Punjab to abroad.
BJP leaders engaged in motivating party cadre
The meetings of Morchas and Cells are being conducted in the BJP State Office in Jalandhar. Union Minister and Punjab Assembly Election In charge Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister Som Parkash are leaving no stone unturned in motivating the party cadre for the coming assembly elections and Modi’s visit to Punjab. The party is carrying out meetings for the success of the public rally up to mandal to shakti kendra and booth levels. The workers are being boosted to highlight the policies, achievements of Modi government. Even the party’s senior leaders who have worked during the days of Bharatiya Jan Sangh, Janata Party are being contacted to motivate the youths by this cadre. Who can be the party’s CM Candidate of the alliance seems to be declared after the election results, till yet all the cadre will be collectively working to ensure towards bringing the alliance to power. The party leaders are also holding meetings with traders and industrialists associations.
Congress leaders joining BJP
Former Congress Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi and two sitting MLAs Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa and Balwinder Singh Laddi have joined BJP recently. There is possibility that leaders of various political parties may also join BJP in the coming days.
Channi busy in making announcements
Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi is going on announcing series of rebates and benefits to the people of Punjab without going through in detail the real position of the State exchequer. The real picture will come when the new government comes in office and how they manage the State exchequer. On the other hand, the PPCC president Navjot Singh Sidhu is working in his own style. Let us see how the Congress high command tackle the present situation. Congress is also not disclosing the name of CM candidate.
Kejriwal’s Delhi Model of governance
Aam Adami Party (AAP) convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is visiting Punjab again and again and taking on the spot assessment from the masses highlighting his Delhi Model of governance if voted to power in Punjab. It seems that Kejriwal is hopeful that his party can perform much better than expectations. His party has also not announced name of CM candidate so far. However, the party is announcing the list of its candidates.
About SAD-BSP alliance
The SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal is hopeful that the alliance partners will perform better in the elections. Let us see what will be the poll results. The SAD has also cleared and announced the names of number of candidates who will be contesting assembly elections.
