ISRS-Ludhiana Chapter and PRSC Celebrated National Remote Sensing Day
Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS)-Ludhiana Chapter and Punjab Remote Sensing Centre (PRSC), Ludhiana celebrated National Remote Sensing Day today.
Ludhiana, August 17, 2022: Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS)-Ludhiana Chapter and Punjab Remote Sensing Centre (PRSC), Ludhiana celebrated National Remote Sensing Day today. The school and college students of various colleges in Punjab participated in the various competitions on the theme “Geospatial Technology for Governance & Achievement of India in Space Technology during last 75 years”.
Dr. Brijendra Pateriya, Director PRSC and Chairman ISRS-Ludhiana Chapter, during his opening remarks, explained the role of geospatial technology in citizen centric services and decision making.
Dr. Gagandeep Singh, Professor and Head, Department of Neurology, Dayanand Medical College &Hospital, who was Chief Guest of the event, expressed his views on the potential of geospatial technology in improving the health of common people.
Dr. R. K. Setia, Scientist PRSC, gave a presentation about the use of geospatial technology for common man.
In the end, Reenu Sharma, Scientist PRSC and Secretary-ISRS, Ludhiana Chapter proposed a vote of thanks.
