The construction work of three wells being built under Seechewal model in village Bhukhri Khurd is 70 percent complete. Similarly, work is about to be completed in Lakhowal village.
Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal said that cleaning the pond in Bhukhri Khurd remains a big challenge. The pond of this village is on the banks of Budh river. It took about a week to remove the dung from the dairies in this pond. He told that two machines are running continuously day and night to remove the dung. Now the work of wells being built under the Seechewal model is about to be completed and soon the dirty water of this village will be treated and used for agriculture. Similarly, a separate team is engaged in building a pond under the Seechewal model in Lakhowal village. The work of digging and building a pond is going on in village Budhhewal.
It is worth mentioning that during the ongoing Kar Seva of Budhha Dariya, work is going on at a fast pace at four places. Two excavator machines have been deployed to remove silt from Budhha Dariya near the pumping station near Gurdwara Gaughat and 225 MLD treatment plant on Jamalpur Road. Due to the deposition of 8 to 10 feet of silt, the river was flowing in the opposite direction. With the operation of these two excavator machines, a large amount of silt has been removed from the Dariya. Due to which the flow of the Dariya has started moving in the right direction. Similarly, the bathing ghat being built on Jamalpur Road is also being finalized. Stones have also been ordered to build more bathing ghats.
