Mumbai, April 21, 2023: Zee Café’s Chef Vs Fridge S3 has been a huge hit amongst the audience. The show got its top 4 in the last week and as the season enters its semi-finale week, the judges and the contestants shared insights on their journey. This season saw a lot of ups and downs with challenges, themes, face-offs, eliminations and wild-card entries. This roller-coaster journey was discussed by the contestants and emotions were all seen flowing as the top contestants remembered their time on the show.
 

Chef Vardaan Marwah who has had a love affair with cooking ever since he was studying pastry arts at the International Institute of Culinary Arts also made it to the Top 4 in the journey that seemed quite a cakewalk for him. Chef Vardan has served as the executive chef of Michelin star Chef Saran’s The House of Celeste which opened just as the lockdown began. He was later managing the kitchen operations at Rooh as their Executive Chef. Sharing about his journey, he said, “Summing up, this journey was like an Action Bollywood film. There have been happy moments and sad goodbyes. This one is one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.” Chef Rahul Punjabi who was the table topper in the season shared, “My journey in Chef Vs Fridge has been quite fulfilling and challenging at the same time. At the start, we didn’t have many expectations. We just came to see what ‘The Best of India’ has to offer.” Chef Rahul Punjabi who quit his job at Google to become a Chef has been really passionate about his dreams since then. In 2017, he quit his job to become a chef and later made it to Australia’s popular restaurant Peter Gilmore’s famous ‘Quay’ Restaurant. He has also trained under Micheline-starred French Chef Jerome Lorieux.
 

The wild cards of this season surely proved they are no less. Chef Kunal Patkar has worked in the culinary industry in Mumbai where his discipline and love for the craft saw him developing menus, opening restaurants single-handedly and leading some of the finest kitchens in the country, entered the show as a wild card. Speaking about his stint, he said, “I find myself quite lucky as we entered the show towards the end. Chef Vardaan and Chef Rahul have reached here with a lot of hard work, enjoying the roller coaster ride of the show, so, competing with them is very exciting.” Chef Tanya Joshi said, “It feels amazing. I am sure the journey ahead would still be full of ups and downs and I am looking forward.”
