Hyderabad: Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE)' Annual Student Forum (IASF) 2020 concluded on Tuesday evening at the Anurag Group of Institutions (AGI) campus in the city.
The theme for the three day forum was "Addressing Grand Challenges by Engineering Without Borders".
Addressing the 200 plus gathering at the Valedictory function, Dr. Shanta Thoutam, VP CI & BD of T-Hub told the young engineers to be the change agents.
Speaking on how innovation drives, she said your “cellphone is no more a cell phone. It is a camera”. Innovative and multiple purposes are embedded in a single product now to make it more useful. Taking the training in these sessions on creativity you go out and be the innovative thinkers and disrupters, she told the young engineering students.
Hyderabad is emerging as the startup destination in India. T-Hub has incubated 150 startup’s which are now in their growth stage. Some of them are moving to a global setting, she added.
Many companies like Facebook, Boeing, Uber are working with T-Hub to innovate. We at T-Hub helped 25 companies to innovate, she shared.
Hyderabad is competing with Israel and Silicon Valley on Startup eco-systems, she said.
We are encouraging rural innovators. We have reached out to 11 states on how to innovate, she informed.
Dr Shanta asked the youth in the hall how they would like to contribute AI-2020 Vision of Government of Telangana State.
Dr P. Rajeshwar Reddy, Chairman of Anurag Group of Institutions (AGI) urged young engineers to innovate for the better future of Indian Farmers. He asked them to invent new tools, implements and Agri hardware at affordable to help Indian Farmers.

During the three day meet, several subjects such as Creativity and Design Thinking Workshop; Case Studies Sessions held.
Two hundred participants from seven states were divided into 38 teams and were given problems in four areas — Augmented Education; Sanitation; Sustainable Energy and Air Pollution
Team Hogwart’s Education; Team Nirmal Kranti; Team Illuminators and Team The Air Savers emerged as winners in their respective track areas.
Kasam Team; Srikers; Agri Theory and Unire were adjudged as runners-up in their respective tracks. They were given away prizes, certificates and cash prizes.
