Ivy World School celebrates National Integration Day

Jalandhar, October 31, 2014: History teaches us that unity is strength, and cautions us to submerge and overcome our differences in the quest for common goals, to strive, with all our combined strength, for the path to true Indian brotherhood and unity.

Ivy World School, Jalandhar, students and educators celebrated National Integration Day in the school today through a Unity Race, Inter School Painting Competitions, taking a pledge, speeches about Sardar Patel and his contribution to the bringing of the princely states under the wings of free India.

Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, the Iron Man of India was honoured and the students watched a movie showing the freedom struggle as well as the maturity of Sardar Patel over the years of struggle. The essence of unity is bringing diversity together.

A special assembly was also organised which culminated in the Run for Unity where the whole school participated. Students also carried banners and posters with slogans about united India. The function brought to fore the need of a united country and an aware youth.
