Ivy World School, Jalandhar hosted the Vasal Quiz Quest Season -2 competition on Wednesday. Students from nine different schools participated in this prestigious competition.

Jalandhar, August 7, 2024: Ivy World School, Jalandhar hosted the Vasal Quiz Quest Season -2 competition on Wednesday. Students from nine different schools participated in this prestigious competition. The Quiz master for the day was the well-known quiz world luminary, Murli Pillai, who has conducted over 400 quizzes in a span of twelve years spreading over two continents - Asia and North America. He is also the founder of ‘Let’s Get Quizzical-experts’ in both on-site and online quizzing. His expertise took the quiz to an international level giving the students a global experience. Nine schools were shortlisted for the Vasal Quiz Quest and the host school’s team was also amongst them.

The competition consisted of two groups i.e. Junior category (Grade VI to VIII) and senior  category (Grade IX to XII). It comprised of seven intuited and mind boggling rounds for each group like science and technology, art and culture, Indian scholars, constitution, animal kingdom, global warming, books and authors, mythology etc. All the rounds were keenly contested. It was heart-warming to see the children brimming with enthusiasm and exuberance as they vied with each other to answer questions that required deep knowledge.

The quiz ended with the declaration of the results. In the junior category, the first position was bagged by Gems Cambridge Hoshiarpur. The school that emerged victorious by grabbing first position in the senior category was Cambridge International School Dasuya.

All the students enjoyed the quiz thoroughly and found it to be an informative and knowledge enriching experience.

The President of Vasal Education, K.K. Vasal, Chairman Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, Vice President Ena Vasal, CEO Raghav Vasal and the Director, Aditi Vasal said that the school encourages positive competition and hopes to bring out the best in all the students through such competitive events. It was indeed an enriching experience for the audience thereby providing ample scope of learning and exploration of new ideas, facts and knowledge for the students. They congratulated and appreciated the efforts put in by the participated teams.

The Principal and the Faculty congratulated the winning teams and encouraged the students to be well-versed with the latest by reading the newspapers and watching news. They likewise acknowledged the support, spirit of teamwork and active participation of the teams. Winning teams were felicitated with trophies, medals and certificates along with branded headphones. The most exciting part of the show was the audience session and the participated children were honoured with the  valuable gift hampers.
