Jalandhar, September 23, 2023: Ivy World School under the aegis of the Vasal Educational Society organised a seminar on “Road Safety Awareness” to awaken a spirit of citizenship among the young students and to encourage them to follow the traffic rules.
The associated resource personnel from the Educational Police Team Sub Inspector Ranjeet Singh and Assistant Sub Inspector Shamsher Singh were invited. The students were briefed about the various traffic rules that ought to be followed in order to maintain safety on the roads. Ivyians were told how they must follow rules while cycling. Common and careless mistakes committed by people were described in the session. The first point stressed upon was the importance of wearing an ISI marked helmet to keep the head safe as it is the most sensitive part of the body.
The second point discussed was the golden rules to follow when walking on the road. The children were cautioned not to be impatient and rush or run on the road, to cross only at the zebra crossings, traffic signals, sub-ways and foot bridges, to respect the light signals for their own safety and smooth movement on the road. They understood the consequences of over speeding, signal jumping, carelessness, not using the seat belt or wearing a helmet, the use of a mobile phone on the road and many other unlawful practices on the road.
The workshop was a huge success as it helped to spread awareness and appoint traffic ambassadors who would further spread the message of obeying traffic rules and ensuring road safety.
K K Vasal, the President of Vasal Educational Group; Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, the Chairman; Ena Vasal, the Vice President; Raghav Vasal, the CEO; and Aditi Vasal, the Director applauded the efforts put forth by the school to prepare their students to handle emergency situations in a better and more effective manner.
