Cervical Cancer Vaccination
IWC club conducted seminars to raise awareness about cervical cancer and facilitated vaccinations for young girls. In addition to doses administered to 5 girls earlier, vaccines were administered to 5 more girls, with plans for follow-up doses and completing all doses by June. The project was directed by Dr.Harjinder.
Visit to Old Age Home
The IWC of Jalandhar visited Kundan Old Age Home in Alawalpur, engaging with 15 residents through conversations, bhajans, and games. Nimmi Chaudhary provided yoga tips for fitness. The club donated essential items (oil, soap, sweets, woollens, medicines etc.), and lunch was served by Anita Chawla.
Spreading Happiness
The club supported a needy girl for her wedding, providing her with clothing, blankets, kitchen utensils, and cash. This benefited the girl and her mother, who expressed immense gratitude
Aid for education
The IWC assisted a girl in continuing her nursing studies, which she was about to abandon due to financial constraints. The club spent Rs. 35,000 to support her education.
Overall, the IWC of Jalandhar has made significant contributions to the community, focusing on the elderly, underprivileged families, education, and health awareness.
