Jagraon ADC reviews Aadhaar enrolment in Ludhiana
Camps in AWCs, schools and villages for expeditiously enrolment in age group 0-5 years and 5-18 years
Ludhiana, August 25, 2022: Jagraon Additional Deputy Commissioner Daljit Kaur on Thursday reviewed the progress of Aadhaar enrolment in the district and stressed on the need to expedite enrolment in age group 0-5 years and 5-18 years.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner, while presiding over a meeting with heads of education, panchayat and rural development, Postal, Food and Civil Supplies and other departments, asked the officials to speed up the Aadhaar enrolment in the district. She said that special camps should be organized in villages, Schools, and Anganwari centres (AWCs) so that population below 18 years could be covered expeditiously. She said that that a total of 223 Aadhaar kits were available in district besides 26 post offices and 40 Sewa Kendras were operational where people could enroll themselves for Aadhar card.
Meanwhile, Kaur also instructed the officials who were attending the meeting to plan the camps in a way that people could make their Aadhaar cards easily. She also emphasised proper awareness about camps to ensure larger section of population avail benefit.
