Students of Ivy World School seen in front of a Letter Box in the Post Office presmises at Jalandhar on Saturday.
Jalandhar, December 7, 2014: This time the Theme Trip was to a Post Office. Children were taught about the Post Office and given the experience of visiting one and understanding its functions. . Children were shown the stamps, inland letter and post cards and explained its uses. They were also taught the Postmen collect our letters from the post office and deliver those addressed to us in our homes. They were briefed about the post office and its activities. Students visited the post office together and learnt about various things.
The Postman and other staff, even the public present there were happy and congratulated us on taking the children to such a useful place which seems to be losing its significance due to other alternative modes of communication now being available. Yet, A School emphasizes on children learning and experiencing the visit to a Post Office as it stills plays an important role in communication.
