JALANDHAR TEEN AGE GIRL'S all 3 rapists 'Uncles ' arrested

Jalandhar, February10, 2013: All the three  accused  involved in the alleged gang rape of 14 year old girl a resident of village Mandala Chhanna have been arrested.

The special investigation team (SIT) under the Superintendent of Police (SP) Jalandhar-Rural, Rajinder Singh, was constituted.

An FIR  under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code was already registered.

SP Rajinder Singh said that a SIT comprising of Director Medical Education and Research, Dr A. S. Thind and other police officials was constituted on the directions of the ADGP (Law and Order) Dinkar Gupta.

The medical report of the victim is expected within a day or two. He said," We have not been able to record the statement of the victim girl." 

Police have booked Sher Singh a 30 year old man along with his younger brother Charanjit Singh (22) and  Balvinder Singh (25) on the charge of kidnapping, rape and threatening to kill the victim of the gang rape 14 year old girl.

The mother of the victim said her daughter had been harassed for the past over three months by the three men living in their neighbourhood to whom her daughter had been calling as 'uncle'.

The rape victim is undergoing treatment at Guru Nanak Dev Medical College, Amritsar.

The victim had kept silence after she was threatened by the accused.

It  was on January 29 when she complained of some ailment following which her mother took her to village doctor.
