Jalandhar, January 27, 2013: Jasbir Singh Gill has been elected President of NRI Sabha Punjab.
According to Iqbal Singh Sandhu, SDM, Jalandhar I and Returning Officer NRI Sabha Election, Gill defeated his nearest rival Kamaljit Singh Hayre with margin of 197 votes.
It may be mentioned here that former Hayre was two time President of NRI Sabha.
After the withdrawal of candidature by Sukhwant Singh Padda of Germany three candidates namely Pritam Singh, Kamaljit Singh Hayre and Jasbir Singh were left in the fray.
