Khanna, March 19, 2015: Mata Ganga Khalsa College for Girls, Manji Sahib,  Kottan (Ludhiana) (under the management of SGPC Sri Amritsar) on Thursday organised a Gala Function for Third Year students of BA/B.Sc./B.Com and BCA named Jashan-E-Rukhsat. The hosts presented a Kaleidoscope of dance and music items. The students showcased dance sequences ranging from traditional to folk. 

The outgoing students of Arts, computers, commerce and Science classes sashayed down the ramp presenting a vibrant and graceful costume display. They wore traditional as well as modern outfits. They displayed innovative skills by dedicating their regards for their teachers and all staff members.

The chief guest Sukhwinder Kaur Loppon applauded the students of Fashion Designing Department for a fine modeling display. The students presented a splendid display of western as well as traditional dresses made and designed by them as part of their curriculum showcasing their talent in the field of dress designing. Harpreet Kaur Grewal and Baljinder Kaur Kheernia  also appreciated the efforts of the Fashion Designing students for excellent ramp show and their efforts as budding dress designers. 

Arminder Kaur was adjudged Miss Farewell while Gurpreet Kaur and Amritpal Kaur were declared first & second runners-up. The Principal, chief guest and eminent personalities  crowned the winners.

Dr. Jatinder Kaur, Principal of the college appreciated the presentations of the students & wished them luck for their future endeavors. She thanked the guests and shared her views on women empowerment and stressed that every woman should feel proud of being a woman and should develop a sense of respect, trust and understanding for leading a happy and contented life.
