Chandigarh, January 08, 2025: The Department of Biochemistry, Panjab University, Chandigarh, is proud to announce that Jitender Chandel, a Research Scholar under the supervision of Prof. Amarjit Singh Naura, Chairperson of the Biochemistry Department, has achieved an outstanding milestone by securing Rank 3 in the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Exam 2024.
Jitender Chandel is in the final stages of submitting his PhD thesis, which focuses on investigating the role of environmental pollution, particularly urban particulate matter, in the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). His work highlights the intersection of environmental science and health, contributing valuable insights to the field of medical research.
A dedicated scholar, Chandel has also published two research papers in reputed journals, showcasing his academic rigor and commitment to scientific inquiry.
