Dharamshala, August 5, 2019: Senior leader of BJP Shanta Kumar has said that the decision of the Modi government about J&K is historic, courageous and of national unity.
“66 years ago, in 1953 Dr.Shyama Prasad Mukherjee entered Kashmir without a permit with a slogan ek vidhan, ek nishan and ek prdhan and died there in mysterious circumstances. His sacrifice been valued now, after 66 years,” added Kumar.
Shanta Kumar said that he is happy that he too been jailed in the same Satyagraha at the age of 19 and was imprisoned for 8 months. Thousands of workers were imprisoned during that period.
He said, “Patel Ji’s dream too has been fulfilled today, who had united the 500 princely states of India, and J&K has been included today, to make India fully independent country.”
Meanwhile, former Punjab minister Manoranjan Kalia has welcomed the decision of Modi Government. In a statement issued in Jalandhar today. He said with the today’s development, dream of Dr.Shyama Parsad Mukherjee has come true. He added Prime Minister Narendra Modi has scripted the history by integrating the State of Jammu & Kashmir with India in toto. This has happened because “Modi hai to mumkin hai”.
