Job Fair for recruitment in Indian Army on Aug 1 and 2 at PAU

Ludhiana, July 16, 2024: Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney on Tuesday informed that an Job Fair for recruitment in Indian Army will be held at Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana from August 1 and 2.

In a meeting Army officials mentioned that nearly 2000 candidates have cleared the written test for the recruitment. They stated that 951 candidates, including 635 of Ludhiana and 316 from Moga will come for physical test on August 1. Similarly on August 2, 768 from Rupnagar and 186 from SAS Nagar will participate in the physical test. 

The Deputy Commissioner fixed the duties of various departments to make adequate arrangements for the rally. The police have been directed to make security arrangements and ensure smooth traffic around the venue. Further, the fire department has been asked to station fire tenders, while the Health Department has been asked to depute medical teams at the venue.

The candidates have been advised to not to fall prey to touts and agents who promise selection in the recruitment rally.
