Job fair proves boon for unemployed youth as 68 selected for jobs at DBEE: Bindra

Ludhiana: The job fair organized by the district administration under the state government’s Ghar-Ghar Rozgaar scheme on Monday at the DBEE Office proved a boon for 68 unemployed youths who were selected for the jobs during the fair.

The camp was inaugurated by Punjab Youth Development Board (PYDB) Chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra and Additional Deputy Commissioner (D) Amit Kumar Panchal.

During the job fair organized by the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise (DBEE) 127 applicants had applied for the 150 jobs.

Out of these 68 applicants were offered jobs in the fair where seven leading companies including SBI Life Insurance, Flipkart, Coca-Cola, ICICI bank, Rabrim, Rockmann and Pukhraj Health care participated. 

Chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra, who had detailed interaction with the job aspirants said that it was a red letter day for the unemployed youth, who had been selected for the jobs. He said that the youth were going to start a new inning in their lives adding it was just a beginning the marvelous success story which all of them were going to script in the future.

Bindra said that this flagship program of the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh aims at ensuring job for every unemployed youth. He further said that five more such job fairs would be organized in the district in coming days to offer employment opportunities to the youth. He further said that the Ghar-Ghar Rozgaar scheme of the Captain government was all set to transform the destiny of the youth of state by providing job opportunities to them.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (D) Amit Kumar Panchal said that district administration was already on task of roping in key Industrial Units and leading entrepreneurs to provide job to the youth.
