Jalandhar, November 21, 2012: The Special Judge (Anti-Corruption), UP (East), Ghaziabad has on Tuesday pronounced judgement in two cases relating to allotment of plots in Noida and convicted Neera Yadav, IAS (UP-71) the then Chairperson-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Noida (Uttar Pradesh) and Rajiv Kumar, IAS, (UP-83), the then Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Noida (Uttar Pradesh).

The Court has sentenced Neera Yadav, IAS (UP-71) and Rajiv Kumar, IAS (U.P-83) to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a fine of Rs. 1 lakh each. The allegation was that Neera Yadav, the then Chairperson-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Noida during the period 94-95 entered into a criminal conspiracy with Rajiv Kumar, IAS (U.P-83), the then Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Noida with the object of causing pecuniary advantage to Rajiv Kumar. In furtherance of said criminal conspiracy, both the officers abused their official position as public servants in the matter of allotment of residential plot No.27 in Sector 14-A, Noida to Rajiv Kumar by converting the land use which was earmarked for Guest House and also increased the area of the plot himself without proper approval.

In an another case, the Trial Court has sentenced Neera Yadav to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a fine of Rs. 1 lakh. The allegation in this case was that Neera Yadav during the period from 10.1.94 to 8.11.95 had abused her official position as a public servant and got allotment of the plot No.B-002G in Sector-32, Noida measuring 300 sq. meters and subsequently got it converted to plot No.26/Sector 14-A, despite the fact that the application submitted by her was incomplete in many respects and was submitted after the closing date of the scheme.

She also got the area of her plot No.26 in Sector 14-A, Noida, increased from 450 Sq. mtrs to 562.5 sq. meters after taking possession of the same. She also got two plots allotted in the names of her two daughters who were part and parcel of her own family, knowing fully well that as per rules of the Noida Authority, only one plot of land could be allotted in Noida to one family. Neera Yadav also converted the allotted plots of both her daughters in the prime Sector No.44 of Noida, in violation of the laid down conversion guidelines of the Noida Authority and thereby caused pecuniary advantage to herself and also to her two daughters.
