Jalandhar, December 27, 2012: The Special Judge for CBI cases, Jabalpur has convicted Ram Govind Mandal, the then Revenue Inspector, Northern Coalfields Ltd. (NCL), HQ, Singrauli (M.P) and sentenced him to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a fine of Rs.6,000 in a bribery case.

CBI had filed a charge sheet in the Court of Special Judge for CBI Cases, Jabalpur on 30/09/2011 U/s 7 & 13(2) r/w (1)(d) P.C. Act. 1988 , alleging that Shri R.G. Mandal, then Revenue Inspector, NCL, Singrauli had demanded & accepted a bribe of Rs.5,000 from the complainant for showing favour in compensation against the acquisition  of the parental house of the complainant under Jayant Project of NCL.
