Judo player of Ramgarhia Girls College wins Bronze Medal in Commonwealth Judo Championship

Ludhiana, October 10, 2019: It is an occasion of great pleasure and joy that the judo player of the college Savitri won Bronze Medal in Commonwealth Judo Championship which was conducted in Birmingham Walsall England from 24-09-2019 to 27-09-2019 in 57Kg Junior weight category. Before participating in this great event, Savitri participated in Asian Senior and Junior Judo Championship. This player has proven her mettle by clinching Silver Medal earlier in All India University Championship. Principal Dr.Inderjit Kaur appreciated the efforts of Dr.Rajeshwarpal Kaur, HOD, Department of Physical Education for her worthy guidance to the players and said that this is indeed a matter of pride for the college that our player Savitri has represented not only our college but our country on international platform. Ranjodh Singh President Ramgarhia Educational Council while congratulating Savitri and her parents said that this achievement shows tireless efforts that the player puts in. He also praised the coach Parveen Thakur whose fruitful guidance made the impossible task possible.
