Juneja appreciates Union Budget-2024 provisions

Ludhiana, July 25, 2024: Ashok Kumar Juneja, Chairman, Punjab Tax Bar Association has appreciated the Union Budget-2024 provisions creating basic exemption of Rs.3.00 Lac, Tax rate 5% between Rs.3.00 Lac to 7 Lac, 10% on 7 Lac to Lac to 10 Lac, 15% on 10 Lac to 12 Lac and 15 Lac & above 30%.
In a statement here today, he added increasing standard deduction 50,000 to 75,000, LTCG exemption 1 Lac to 1.25 Lac, LTCG 10% to 12.50% and STCG 15% to 20% are also welcome steps.
He hoped that number of assesses and revenue both will increase by these provisions.
