Jalandhar, August 24, 2024: While condemning the incident of firing on NRI Sukhchain Singh by two unidentified armed assailants at his residence in Amritsar in a broad day light, Manoranjan Kalia Senior BJP leader and former minister Punjab said that the law and order situation has been deteriorating in Punjab from bad to worse since.
In a statement here today, he added not a single day passes without the incident of looting, demanding ransom and snatching or shooting in Punjab.
He said, “The law and order situation in Punjab has totally collapsed. Its responsibility lies upon Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann who is having the Home Department.”
Adding, he said, “Maintaining the law and order of the state is a serious job, not tit-biting.”
