Kangra Care Portal launched
Kangra has become the first district in Himachal Pradesh to provide online information of availability of beds/ICUs in hospitals: DC
Dharamsala: One can now have the online information about the availability of beds and ICUs in Covid hospitals in Kangra district. Kangra has become the first district in Himachal to provide an online facility of medical consultation to the public along with availability of beds in hospitals. For this, Kangra Care Portal has been prepared by the district administration.
On Friday, Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati duly launched the Kangra Care Portal in Dharamsala. ADM Rohit Thakur was also present on the occasion.
Prajapati said, “Kangra district administration has prepared the Kangra Care Portal so that citizens can get the correct information for better facilities and health related treatment in a timely manner. Initially this portal has been prepared keeping in mind the convenience of the Covid infected and in future this portal can be used to provide better health services to the people in the district. The complete database of government and private hospitals related to Covid will be available in this portal, which will also be updated regularly to give information about beds, ICUs etc.”
He informed that now tele-counselling shall be available for patients through Kangra Care Portal. “A list of doctors is also provided in this, even after the recovery of severely infected patients from Covid, provision has been made to ensure monitoring of their health through this portal. Regular communication will also be maintained by the doctors with the post Covid patients, so that people do not face any kind of inconvenience,” added DC.
He said that the portal would prove to be effective in dealing with COVID as well as in providing timely health services to the people in future.
