LEADS CYCLING EXPEDITION UNDER THE AEGIS OF ‘KAPUTHALA CYCLING CLUB’

Kapurthala, March 11, 2018: In order to disseminate the message of healthy life along with pollution free environment, the Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Mr.Mohammad Tayyab today led a cycling expedition in the city.

Leading the expedition under the aegis of ‘Kaputhala Cycling Club’, the Deputy Commissioner, along with other officers of the district administration, representatives of NGOs and doctors, done ‘Shramdan’ at Shalimar Bagh with an aim to make the city clean and pollution free.

The cycling expedition that started from Civil Rest House passing from DC Chowk, Bus Stand, Shalimar Bagh, Court Chowk and Civil Hospital. Before starting off the expedition, the Deputy Commissioner said that the main motive of organizing this cycling expedition was to spread the message of clean and pollution free environment, communal harmony & brotherhood and above all wiping out the menace of drugs and other social maladies from the district. He said that through this cycling club concerted efforts would be made to channelize the unbounded energy of youth in a positive manner. Exhorting the people to transform this humble effort into a mass movement, Mr. Tayyab said invited the residents of the district to play a proactive club in this club.

On the occasion Civil Surgeon Dr. Harpreet Singh Kahlon, Secretary Red Cross Society Mr. R. C Birha, APRO Hardev Singh Assi, Gurmukh Singh Dhode, Gurbachan Singh Bangar, Umesh Sehgal, S. K Kalia, Narinder Bhalla and several other officers/ officials were also present.
