Karan Setia, a student of BHMCT 2010 batch of PCTE, Ludhiana who stood first in University, with others.
Ludhiana, November 14, 2014: PCTE student Karan Setia Student of BHMCT 2010 batch of PCTE stood First in University in eighth semester PTU Examinations. He scored 83.82% marks. Whereas Arjun Kumar of CTIHMCT, Maqsudan stood second & Vidushi Verma of RBIHMCT, Kharar stood third. Another student Arwinder Kaur student of same batch from PCTE secured Fifth position with 78.91% marks in University Examinations. In addition to this, students of same batch of PCTE Narinder Singh secured Seventh position and Sandeep Kaur secured Eighth Position in University Examinations.
In Hotel Management 2013 batch Abhimanyu from PCTE stood Second in second semester university examinations with 85.60% whereas Puja Kumari and Amanjot Kaur from PCTE stood sixth & tenth respectively in university exams.
Karan Setia said that, “I thank god for this success and also my teachers and parents who supported me. There is a lot of hard work and consistent devotion involved to achieve top university position''. In addition Sandeep Kaur said “It was the practical learning approach of faculty members who helped her to perform so well and understand concepts”. Abhimanyu said that "It is a moment of pride for my parents and I am happy to achieve this result.”
Prof. Manish Kumar, Head of Department, PCTE-IHM said that, “Karan Setia was dedicated to secure university position. He said that Hotel Management Students of PCTE-IHM have consistently performed exceptionally well in University Examination". He further added that “Students at PCTE-IHM not only perform well academically but also excel in extracurricular activities on campus in order to achieve overall development.”
Dr. K.N.S.Kang Director General PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the students and also said that it is the hard work and commitment that has paid all of them. He said that so far PCTE has clinched 28 gold medals in University. He also said that PCTE is putting in lot of efforts in improving the quality of education in their institutes. He said that this achievement of the student will help them in professional and personal life. He wished all the students good luck for their life.
