Actor / Celebrity Talk show host Karan Singh Chhabra was seen hosting the panel discussion supporting the cause Initiated by IAS Officer And Actor Abhishek Singh and supported by Banker, Singer and Social Activist Amruta Devendra Fadnavis and Pankaj Bafna, Lawyer of State, Cyber Crime, Mumbai Police.
The actor in his address to the students of NMIMS University, Mumbai mentioned the importance of Destigmatisation of Victim Shaming of young girls in such cases.
No Shame Movement is a step towards addressing the vulnerabilities that young girls face due to “non-consensual image sharing” also known as “revenge porn”. Their young age makes them even more vulnerable. Therefore, it becomes very important that these young victims should be provided appropriate legal guidance, institutional support from the state authorities and psychological counselling.
