Black Box Creations presented a unique and engaging storytelling performance titled “Bhaya Ithale Sampat Nahi” at Bharat Natya Mandir on April 11, 2025. This two-act production, brought to life by the artists of KathaKatta, featured dramatic narrations of four suspenseful and mysterious stories.
The selected stories—penned by acclaimed writers such as Rajiv Tambe, Ashutosh Ukidve, Narayan Dharap, and Ratnakar Matkari — were presented in a theatrical and immersive style. The powerful use of set design, lighting, and music significantly enhanced the experience for the audience. Eye-catching costumes and makeup, tailored to each character, added to the visual appeal and authenticity.
The performers held the audience spellbound with their portrayal of various roles. The concept and direction of the show were led by Mr. Devendra Bhide. The cast included Mansi Jogalekar, Vandana Gargate, Pooja Giri, Dr. Sameer Dolare, Siddhi Gandigude, Parag Phadke, Janmajay Khurjekar, Madhav Soman, Madhur Dolare, Renuka Bhide, Devendra Bhide, Tanvi Giri, Sachin Yande, Atharva Kulkarni, Aarohi Dolare, and Antara Dolare.
Yogendra Sane handled the lighting design, Niranjan Deshpande composed the music, and Narendra Veer designed the makeup and costumes.
The program received an overwhelming response from the audience. The next performance of “Bhaya Ithale Sampat Nahi” is scheduled for April 25 at 9:30 PM at Bharat Natya Mandir.
