Kavita Katha Karvaan holds literature fest, launches books
The literary organization "Kavita Katha Karvaan, organised its Annual Literary Festival here on Tuesday, under the chairmanship of noted poet and educationist, Dr.Suresh Nayak.
Ludhiana, December 12, 2023: The literary organization "Kavita Katha Karvaan, organised its Annual Literary Festival here on Tuesday, under the chairmanship of noted poet and educationist, Dr.Suresh Nayak.
Dignitaries including Dr.Hari Singh Jachak, Dr. Gurcharan Kaur Kochar, Dr. Mohammad Rafi, and Sandeep Sharma (from the Language Department, Ludhiana) , were the special guests.
The event included the launch of Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Falak's edited book 'Nari Har Yug Mein Hari (Woman loses every time); the poetess Kuljeet Kaur Gazal's 'Niliyan Akhan, (Blue eyes)' and Dr. Rajendra Sahil's 'Dasham Pita Dashamesh Ke Bavnan Darbari Kavi (Fifty two poets of the Tenth Guru Dashmesh)'.
On this occasion Harvinder Singh inaugurated the Punjabi Literary magazine 'Virsa.'
Prominent among those who presented their reviews about the launched books included Dr. Jyoti Khanna from Jalandhar and Dr. Siddheshwar from Patna, who spoke about the content and styles of the books. Likewise, Dr. Asha Sharma, Archana, Satish Bassi, Amritpal Singh Gogia, Rajdeep Toor, Komaldeep Kaur, Shaili Wadhwa, Gurdeep Singh Aulakh, Manjeet Singh Meet, Preet Kaur, and others participated in the poetry session with their new renditions. Singer Heera Swami performed songs and ghazals of Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Falak. Ashok Dheer and Reena Goyal Jain (Chairwoman of Women's Forum) enriched the atmosphere with their musical performances.
Dr. Hari Singh Jachak presented Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Falak with a poetic rendition on her birthday, while Dr. Mohammad Rafi emphasized celebrating a writer's birthday through poetic events. The Radio and TV anchor Kamlesh Gupta conducted the proceedings splendidly. Tejinder Singh Gubbar presented tokens of appreciation to all those who were present in the festival.
Earlier, in virtual mode, Senior Vice President of Kavita Katha Karvan, Dr. Jagtar Dhiman, expressed his views about Dr Falak's book and offered gratitude to everyone through his welcome speech.
Finally, Secretary Rashmi Asthana thanked all the dignitaries and participants.
