Kavita Katha Karvaan holds National Level Hindi Day Celebration

Ludhiana, September 24, 2022: Renowned literary and cultural organization KKK (Kavita Katha Karavan) honoured renowned Hindi scholar Dr. Vinod Kumar Taneja and eminent media personality Prashant Kaushik by conferring Kavita Katha Karavan Award - 2022 that carried a cash award of eleven thousand rupees, a citation and a robe of honour for their outstanding literary, cultural, academic and social contribution. The awards were conferred in the largely attended Fifth national Hindi Day function organized by KKK at the local Punjabi Bhawan. Dr Rajinder Singh Sahil introduced and read out the citations of the awardees. 

 

The Chief Guest of the occasion Pritpal Kaur, Deputy Director of Department of Languages, Punjab, in her remarks said that Hindi acts as a bridge to connect people at the national level. She added that acceptance of Hindi words internationally speaks highly of the strength of Hindi as a language. Rajiv Kumar, Co-Director, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India presided over the function while Vikas Kumar, Principal Commissioner, GST, Ludhiana and Kiran Sawhney, Deputy Director, ITD and Secretary, Official Language Implementation Committee, Ludhiana graced the program as guests of honour. Apart from this, Assistant Directors of Department of Languages, Punjab Satnam Singh, Amarinder Singh and Praveen Kumar; writer, social activist and academician Dr. Gaurav Pathak and Pt. Ashwani Kaushik from Meerut; Rajesh Ratan Bhardwaj from BVM, Ludhiana and Dr. Atula Bhaskar from Amritsar were among the prominent personalities gracing the event. 

 

The program started with the rendition of melodious Saraswati Vandana by Saroj Verma and lighting the holy lamp by the participating dignitaries

Earlier, the KKK President Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Falak, while formally welcoming the guests and participants said that the mission of the organization was the promotion of literature, culture and righteous values among the youth through providing a platform for their creative expression. She solicited cooperation from all nurturing similar mission. Advocate Sunita Majumdar, a social worker from Jharkhand and Vijay Pandit, a distinguished scholar from Uttar Pradesh, presented their keynote addresses which focused on the relevance of Hindi as the language of the masses. 

A poetic session was held wherein amateur and established poets , Dr. Harvinder Kaur, Paramjit Kaur Mehak, Benu Satishkant, Shahnaz Bharti, Monica Kataria, Shanti Jain, Anu Puri, Prof. Gurwinder Kaur, Prof. Neelam, Neelu Bagga, Bhanu Sood, Jyoti Sharma, Prof. Jaswinder Kaur, Dr. Rashi, Seema Bhatia, Saneh Kanna, Rashi Chodha, Dr Atula Bhaskar, enthralled the audience with their beautiful poetic renditions on varied subjects such as women, silence, puppets, language power, communication, humanity, patriotism and the like. 

Shahnaz Bharti and Prof Roopkanwal beautifully sang ghazals composed by Dr. Falak.

The stage was aptly managed by anchor Kamlesh Gupta in her meticulous poetic style.
