Kavita Katha Karvan online vaisakhi literary fest concludes

Ludhiana: The first ever online Vaisakhi Literary Fest organized by the literary body Kavita Katha Karvan (KKK) concluded on the fifth day. Renowned Punjabi film actor Jaswinder Bhalla presided over the concluding session, today. He expressed that we must endeavour for the betterment of society through spreading mutual love and respect. They appreciated KKK for having organized this successful online session, which he said is the need of the hour.
This unique event, with renowned story writer Bushra Hazeem (Pakistan) as its Chief Guest, took-off on April 13 with introductory remarks by Dr Jagtar Dhiman, eminent litterateur and Registrar CT University. The online event had the participation by more than 50 poets, writers, actors, authors, singers, administrators, educationists , doctors and industrialists from within the country and abroad.
Prominent poets who enthralled the audience with compositions on Vaisakhi, creation of the Khalsa, tragedy of Jallianwala Bagh, and the current social concerns including the plight of farmers in view of the corona pandemic included: Rajwant Raj (Canada), Dr Jagpal Sidhu (Canada), Trailochjan Lochi, Manjeet Kaur Dhiman, Manjit Indira, Gursewak Singh Dhillon, Anu Sharma Kaul, Anu Puri, Paramjit Kaur Mehak, Jatinder Kaur Sandhu, Satwant Sukhi, Sarita Jain, Varun Anand, Suman Sharma Gujarat, Paramjit Deol, Dharminder Shahid, Sehajpreet Mangat, Jyoti Bajaj, Vibha Kumariya Sharma, Rashmi Asthana, Mehak Bhatia, among others. Their poems focused on propagating the message of good living and connecting with Nature. The educationists, Dr Jagtar Dhiman, Prof Tilak Sethi, Seema Jain, Dr Nadeem Ahmed, Dr Tarlochan Mahajan, spoke on Vaisakhi and the current lockdown scenario in the country.
It also had messages by Nupur Sandhu, and Neetu Vaid Sharma, on behalf of their literary organizations and of motivational speakers Parvinder Singh Chawla, Dr Hari Singh Jachak and Maninder Singh Gogia. Further, personalities linked with electronic and print media such as Navdeep Singh (AIR FM Radio), Ashwani Jaitly, Sunny Dua, Kamlesh Bhartiya, Lalit Beri, and Kartika Singh also shared their views in verse or otherwise. The film makers Anirban Bhattacharrya, and Amit Jindal gave their messages on the occasion. The videos of publishers and authors namely, Arindam Roy and Utkarsh Patel were also included in the programme.
Eminent singers Meenu Bawa (Canada), Darminder Massaani, and Jatinder Jeetu presented their renditions. Darminder Massaani, and Jatinder Jeetu sang the ghazals of Jaspreet Kaur Falak. Others who expressed their views about the corona menace included Dr Jas Kohli, Dr Ramandeep Singh Batala.
The KKK President, Jaspreet Kaur ‘Falak’ concluded by saying that KKK followed its idea of connecting poets and eminent personalities from diverse fields of activity from different countries on a common point of Vaisakhi. She thanked each one of them for the overwhelming cooperation offered for this unique activity.
