Khalsa College student to represent India in World Deaf Games
Ankit Sharna has been selected for participation
Jalandhar: Ankit Sharna, a student of Lyallpur Khalsa College has been selected for participation in World Deaf Athletics Championship being held at Lubin Poland from 23-28 August 2021. This information was given by the college Principal Dr GS Samra in a press release today. Awarding a special scholarship of Rs 5000 to Ankit, Dr. Samra informed that Ankit was going to participate in 100 and 200 meters race. Dr. Samra said that the college offered freeships along with free hostel and mess facilities in addition to coaching by international level players. He also gave the information that for the session 2021-22, it had made budget provisions of 2.5 crores as scholarships and concessions for the students.
The occasion was witnessed by the presence of College Dean Sports Dr SS Bains and faculty members of the department.
