Khanna police arrested person for threatening businessman and demanding Rs.2 Crore
Khanna, September 30, 2021: Rajanparminder Singh, DSP, Khanna has apprised that today Khanna police have arrested a person who was allegedly calling and threatening a businessman namely Anirudh Ghai Dicky r/o Bhagat Colony, Khanna and demanding Rs.2 Crore from complainant if he fails to give money then he will kill his son and damage his factory. An FIR (no. 148 dated 29.09.2021 U/s 385/506/511 IPC PS City-1 Khanna) was registered against the unknown person. On the directions of Gursharandeep Singh Grewal, Senior Superintendent of Police, Khanna, a special team was constituted under the guidance of Manpreet Singh PPS, SP (Inv.) Khanna.
As working on directions, under the supervision of DSP, Khanna, Insp Vinod Kumar Incharge CIA, Khanna, SI Navdeep Kumar CIA Khanna, SI Ravinder Kumar SHO, City Khanna's ASI Baldev Raj along with police party with the help of Technical Cell, Khanna has arrested the said person namely Kuldeep Singh @ Kala r/o Goh, PS Sadar Khanna, Distt. Ludhiana now r/o Village Ghugrali Rajputtan, PS Sadar Khanna at near Dehru Chowk.
During initial investigation, the accused Kuldeep Singh confessed that 2 years ago, he was working as a security guard at complainant's factory and he stole a mobile phone and a sim from a migrant laborer which was used to call to threaten a complainant and his family.
The investigation is going on, said the police.
