“Khushboo” steps up for International Film Festival

Chandigarh, December 28, 2021: The Trailer of the short film~ Khushboo ~along with the star cast of the movie was unveiled today at Press Club, Chandigarh. The movie has been written and directed by the very talented Vikrant Sidhu, who has earlier also amazed the audience with his short films. His film is the only film from India to be selected and premiered at Clermont Ferrand Film Festival, France, 2022. The film has been produced under Sahil Devgan Productions.
His new Directorial, Khushboo, revolves around the ancestral History of Punjab, which showcases, how the heritage and cultural norms, with time are fading away. The movie captures the ethos and conflicts of the state of Punjab, through the eyes of an Old Man. As the name suggests "Khusboo '' movie shows how the smell of traditions, old roots, ghehun- fasal and scent of our life is diminishing. It also gives us a message that how with time, we are losing the connection with our own roots, of the place where we actually belong.
The Film titled "Khushboo" is one of its kind, as it also sheds light upon the social issues prevalent in the country, one of them being the Plight of Our Farmers. The movie gives a few meaningful and important life’s lessons to learn and reflect upon.The movie is a mixture of light hearted and delightful music. It has been shot at various locations, Singhu and Tikri Border, Ludhiana City and Dhanasu Village in Ludhiana district.
Sharing his views, Director and Co-Producer, Mr. Vikant Sidhu said, “As the movie is based on real life truths, bringing those emotions with all those feelings was a tough task for the entire crew. We have worked really hard in shooting and recording the movie, as it has a very different notion, with a very different character. The movie gives a strong message, and I am sure the audience will resonate with our efforts and attempt to tell the story.”
