KMV awarded two copyrights in design from copyright office, GoI

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya is trailblazing new achievements. The P.G. Department of Fashion Designing which is ranked again topmost in ‘Best Value for Money Category’ in India and amongst Top 30 colleges of India as per India Today Survey 2020 has achieved the singular honour of receiving two copyrights in Design from Copyright Office, Government of India. Harpreet Kaur, a student of M.Sc Fashion Designing has been awarded Intellectual Property Right for innovative earrings made with the Chikankari technique of Uttar Pradesh. The main motive behind this creative endeavour was to give the students a creative outlet to hone their skills and to experiment with innovative paradigms.
Principal averred that KMV believes that a prerequisite required to make a good career in the fashion industry and research is creativity. She further maintained that KMV has empowered the women by giving them the required skills in fashion designing and other disciplines so that they should become self reliant in this highly competitive world. She congratulated Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Head, PG Department of Fashion Designing & Ms Harpreet Kaur for taking this initiative and also being awarded with an IPR. She further inspired each student to foray further in the field of research.
