KMV’s Institution's Innovation Council awarded with highest rating
Jalandhar, November 17, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Institution’s Innovation Council has been honoured with the highest recognition of 4 gold stars by the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Recognised as one of the top 10 institutions in the North-West region and among the top 140 institutions in India, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya stands as a symbol of success, innovation and autonomous excellence.
The Institution’s Innovation Council established at KMV has been commended for its dedicated efforts in promoting entrepreneurial and innovative culture among students and faculty. Highlighting the significant achievements, Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi mentioned that KMV is consistently making efforts to foster an innovative and entrepreneurial culture among students. Various departmental activities are organised, focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship. KMV has not only achieved recognition as one of the top 140 technical and non-technical institutions and universities out of approximately 3426 in India but has also secured a place among the top 10 institutions in the North-West region. Expressing joy over this special achievement, Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi stated that K.M.V. is continually striving to cultivate an innovative and entrepreneurial culture among students. The institution provides a crucial platform for 21 students to become self-reliant, establishing ventures such as fashion boutiques, beauty salons, diet clinics, nutritive food manufacturing, chocolate making, baking, video, art studios, and more. The institution not only initiates these ventures but also encourages and supports the students in operating them with dedication and hard work.
Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Rashmi Sharma, President of KMV IIC and Dr. Neetu Chopra, Vice President, along with the group team, for their contributions to this prestigious accomplishment. She emphasised that the innovative practices at KMV will not only enhance entrepreneurial skills but also guide students and faculty in fostering an innovative behaviour.
