KMV Cadet UO Tara Shines at Republic Day Camp 2025 Cycling Expedition

Jalandhar, February 9, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous ) continues to make history in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) as Under Officer (UO) Tara proudly represented the institution at the RDC 2025 Cycling Expedition from Hussainiwala (Punjab) to Delhi, covering a remarkable 710 km. The expedition, part of the Republic Day Camp (RDC) activities, culminated at Kartavya Path, where UO Tara had the prestigious opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and capture a memorable moment with the Director General (DG) of NCC, Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VSM. Adding to her list of accomplishments, UO Tara participated in the 60 km cycling race at RDC 2025, where she displayed exceptional endurance and determination, securing an impressive 5th position. Notably, she was the only cadet from the Jalandhar NCC Group to achieve a podium finish, making this feat even more commendable. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi expressed immense pride in UO Tara’s outstanding achievement. She averred that her  selection for the RDC Cycling Expedition and her top performance in the race are a testament to her unwavering dedication, discipline, and resilience. She further maintained that UO Tara's success at RDC 2025 stands as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring NCC cadets, proving that hard work and determination lead to great heights. She has not only brought laurels to KMV but has also made the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh Directorate proud on the national stage. Madam Principal appreciated the trainings which were a vital part of holistic education. She appreciated the ANO Lt. Sufalica Kalia and Department of NCC for working zealously to come up with a variety of opportunities and activities everyday so that girls can emerge as the future leaders of the Nation.
