KMV celebrates Constitution Day
Organises series of events to spread awareness about the constitution
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya in collaboration with 36-North Jalandhar, constituency organized three day celebrations to commemorate 71st Anniversary of Indian Constitution. The three day celebrations were organised by KMV to commemorate the Constitution Day. On the first day, an online lecture was delivered by Mrs. Ashima Sahni on the topic “Gender Gap and Political Participation” in which students were acquainted with the constitutional rights and how the Election Commission of India through the platform of SVEEP, Chunav Pathshala and Electoral Literacy Club is trying to ensure political participation even beyond electoral cycle. On the second day, a quiz was also organized on the theme “Constitution, Democracy and We”. A poster making competition was also organized in which students beautifully depicted the importance of constitution to the people. This three-day event concluded with the online address by Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi. In her address, Prof Dwivedi emphasised about the importance of Constitution and quoted Benjamin Franklin and reminded the students that the Constitution only give people the right to pursue but you have to achieve it yourself therefore, every person has to stand for his/her own rights.
