KMV celebrates International Yoga Day with full zeal and enthusiasm
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated International Yoga Day with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Jalandhar, June 21, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated International Yoga Day with full zeal and enthusiasm. The event was organised jointly by Departments of NCC, Student Welfare and NSS.
Satyavart Arya from University of Patanjali, Haridwar conducted the yoga session. It was a refreshing and exhilarating experience for all who were a part of the session. Sh. Arya explained the importance of doing Yoga in daily life & also demonstrated various yoga exercises to the students that would aid the students in increasing their concentration power and will lead them to live a happy and stress free life. It is also worth mentioning that the faculty members of KMV also attended the session. On this occasion, an online quiz was also organised by PG Department of Mathematics in collaboration with NSS unit of KMV in which more than 500 students participated from all over India.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated everyone on this auspicious occasion and averred that regular practice of Yoga will surely help the students to achieve a better life physically, mentally and spiritually. She lauded the efforts of Dr.Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare, Parminder, Head, PG Department of Physics, Seema Arora, Incharge NCC Unit, KMV, Ashima Sahni, Incharge NSS, Dr.Sonik Bhatia, Anand Prabha, Dr.Neeraj Sharma, Dean Resident Life and Parmjeet, Warden Hostel for taking this initiative of making students involved in ventures such as the present one.
