KMV celebrates World Copyright Day with maximum grant of Copyrights in the region

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always been taking new initiatives in order to uplift the standard of education. KMV’s IPR cell in association with KMV IIC celebrated the World Copyright Day by organising an online quiz on Intellectual Property Rights.

Jalandhar, April 30, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always been taking new initiatives in order to uplift the standard of education. KMV’s IPR cell in association with KMV IIC celebrated the World Copyright Day by organising an online quiz on Intellectual Property Rights. The quiz received an overwhelming response of 1200 participants from all over India. It is pertinent to mention that KMV leads in bagging the most number of IPRs in the region. Recently, KMV has been granted two patent certificates from the Controller General of Patents , Designs and Trademarks, Government of India for their innovative work in the field of Food Production and Healthy Eating titled Food Heating apparatus with Water heating arrangement and Adulteration monitoring device. 

Dr.Ashish Raina, Neeti Kapoor, Baljit Singh, Tarandeep Kaur & Chahat Puri worked on this project and were granted patent for this innovative work. Previously, Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Head, P. G. Department of Fashion Designing along with the  research scholars of the department has received 12 IPRs. Maninder Kaur received 2 IPRs for Sustainable & Slow Fashion Design Logo , Dr. Simerjeet and Navneet for Madhubani Hand painted sneakers. Navdeep Kaur secured 3 IPRs for Uzbekistan, Tibetan & Chinese Mix Media. Besides this Dr. Harpreet Kaur secured two IPRs for her PhD work. Dr Pardeep Arora, PG Department of Computer Science & Applications has also been awarded one IPR. Dr Ravi Khurana, PG Department of Computer Science & Applications has also been awarded an IPR for QOS- Aware Optical Fog Assisted Cyber Physical System in 5G Ready Heterogeneous Network and Method for the same from Government of Australia. 

Dr. Neetu Verma and Dr. Surbhi Sharma, PG Department of Physics have also published a patent on the system and method for automatically operating a stagnate water ejector. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV has empowered the women by giving them the required skills in various disciplines so that they should become self reliant in this highly competitive world. She congratulated Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Dr. Harpreet Kaur and Dr. Narinderjit Kaur for conducting the online quiz. She also congratulated all the IPR holders for being awarded with the IPRs and further inspired each student to foray further in the field of research.
