KMV celebrates World Environment Day in collaboration with Punjab Pollution Control Board
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous ) in collaboration with the Punjab Pollution Control Board, Government of Punjab celebrated World Environment Day.
Jalandhar, June 5, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous ) in collaboration with the Punjab Pollution Control Board, Government of Punjab celebrated World Environment Day.
On this occasion Jangir Singh, J.E.E., on behalf of Punjab Pollution Control Board was present as the chief guest and along with him Kuldeep Singh, Coordinator was also present.
In the inter-school painting competition organised under the campaign Mission Life, run by the Pollution Control Board, students of 10+ 1, 10+ 2 & BA Semester VI of K.M.V. Collegiate Senior Secondary School, students of M.G.N. Public School, Kapurthala and Eklavya School, Jalandhar also participated in the competition under the guidance of Student Welfare Department of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, N.S.S. Unit, N.C.C. Department, Department of Environmental Sciences and Department of Fine Arts.
Very impressive paintings were presented by the students based on the theme of the competition, Beat Plastic Pollution. Along with this, on the subject of plastic-a threat, the students also took an oath for environmental protection and elimination of plastic while spreading awareness through reciting poems and songs. Apart from awarding all the winners who participated in this competition, certificates were also given to all the participants.
