KMV celebrates World Food Day with full zeal and enthusiasm

Jalandhar, October 16, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated World Food Day by organising a Poster Making Competition. The competition was organised by the Department of Food Science Quality Control and Microbiology.
The theme of World Food Day is ‘Water is Life, Water is Food. Leave no one behind’, highlighting the vital role of water in food production and the significance of ensuring that all individuals have access to this essential resource.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of food security, sustainable agriculture and the global fight against hunger. Students showcased their artistic talents and expressed their views on the theme and the critical issues through their creative posters.
Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that it is very important people should be aware about the healthy food habits so that they may lead a healthy & happy life. She further maintained that KMV from time to time keeps on organising such meaningful activities so that students should be made aware about the healthy lifestyle.
Principal lauded the efforts of Department of Food Science Quality Control and Microbiology for successfully organising the event.
