KMV celebrates World Ozone Day with full zeal and enthusiasm
Jalandhar, September 16, 2021: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, celebrated World Ozone Day to sensitise students regarding global environmental issues. The theme for this year Ozone Day is Montreal Protocol Keeping us, our food, and vaccines cool. To mark the celebrations, PG Department of Zoology & Environmental Sciences of KMV in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club organised poster making competition. More than 100 students participated in the event to showcase the creativity and made posters depicting environmental problems and also suggested different measures to keep our planet cool and to prevent global warming. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi graced the occasion with her presence and lauded the efforts of the students and teachers for their participation and efforts. She averred that it is the social responsibility of every citizen to make the environment clean and green. She further maintained that it is very important that younger generation should be made responsible towards the environment conservation. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Mrs Sadhna Tandon, Head, PG Department of Zoology & Environmental Sciences for organising the celebrations.
The results for the competition are as follows:
1st Prize- Robindeep Kaur (B.Sc. IT)
2nd Prize- Roshni (B.Sc. Biotechnology)
3rd Prize- Vaani Arora (B.Sc. Biotechnology)
Consolation Prize- Divya Jalota & Molly Ghai
