KMV celebrates Youth Day with full zeal and enthusiasm
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated Youth Day on the theme “Viksit Yuva Viksit Bharat” with great enthusiasm. The event was organised by Student council and Red Ribbon Club of KMV and the event aimed to recognise the importance of the youth in shaping the future and encouraging active participation in various activities that foster personal and social development.
Jalandhar, January 13, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated Youth Day on the theme “Viksit Yuva Viksit Bharat” with great enthusiasm. The event was organised by Student council and Red Ribbon Club of KMV and the event aimed to recognise the importance of the youth in shaping the future and encouraging active participation in various activities that foster personal and social development.
Principal Prof (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi addressing the students motivated by citing examples from Swami Vivekananda’s life. Students participated in the pledge-taking ceremony, where students pledged to uphold the values of unity, peace, and progress. The pledge emphasized the responsibility of the youth in contributing positively to society and working towards the betterment of the nation. Following the pledge, a Poster Making competition was also organised to provide students with a creative platform to express their thoughts on relevant youth-centric themes. The participants exhibited their artistic skills by creating visually impactful posters that reflected their perspectives on AIDS awareness. Simultaneously, a Declamation Contest took place, allowing students to showcase their oratory skills and articulate their views on topics related to the challenges and opportunities faced by the youth today.
Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare for successfully organising the celebrations.
