Jalandhar, May 22, 2023: KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School Department of Biology organised visit to Botanical Garden, Zoological Museum and plantation drive to celebrate International Day for Biological Diversity.
More than 80 students actively participated in this event. During the event, students planted different types of plants of medicinal importance, ornamental, fruit plants and shade giving.
The main motive of this event was to aware the students to conserve and protect the biodiversity and maintain extensive collections of plants and protect the environment.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV gives utmost priority to environmental conservation as we always motivate students to spread awareness regarding this cause in the society so that younger generation could feel it responsibility.
Principal lauded the efforts of Veena Deepak (Co-ordinator, KMV Collegiate School), Anand Prabha ( Incharge ) Archana (Head, PG Department of Zoology), Anita and Mehak for organising the event successfully.
