KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School celebrates World Athletics Day with full zeal and enthusiasm
KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School’s Department of Student Welfare in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated World Athletics Day to promote Indian and International sports and exercises among youth.
Jalandhar, May 7, 2024: KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School’s Department of Student Welfare in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated World Athletics Day to promote Indian and International sports and exercises among youth.
On this occasion various competitions like Skipping rope, 100 mt. race, Long jump, Lemon race, Sack race and Tug-of-War were organised.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all the participants who exhibited diligence and hard work in the playground. She averred that sports is an important human activity for a sound body and mind. She also encouraged the participants to keep taking part in such future endeavors wholeheartedly.
Principal lauded the efforts of Veena Deepak (Co-ordinator, KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School), Dr. Madhumeet (Dean, Student Welfare) and Anand Prabha (Incharge, KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School) for successfully organizing the whole event. Hardeep (Controller of Examination) and Dr. Davinder (Head, Department of Physical Education) were also present on the occasion.
The winners of the various competitions were as follows:
In Skipping rope competition, Riya (+2 Arts) bagged first position, Preet (+2 Arts) got second position and Rakhi (+2 Arts) and Tannu (+2 Arts) remained third.
In 100 mt. race (player category), Riya (+2 Arts) bagged first position, Preet (+2 Arts) got second position and (Rakhi and Bhapinder ( +2 Arts) and Komal remained third.
In 100 mt. race (non-player category), Rubjot (+2 Commerce) bagged first position, Kajal Kajalpreet (+2 Commerce) got second position and Shradha (+1 Arts) remained third.
In Lemon race, Simranjit (+1 Medical) bagged first position, Riya (+1 Non. Med.) got second position and Taranpreet (+2 Commerce) secured third position.
In Sack race, Riya (+2 Arts) bagged first position, Tannu (+2 Arts) got second position and Samiksha (+1 Commerce) secured third position.
In Long jump, Preet (+2 Arts) bagged first position, Reena (+1 Arts) got second position and Rakhi (+2 Arts) and Anmol (+1 Arts) secured third position.
