KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School organises Spark 2014

Jalandhar, November 15, 2014: K.M.V Collegiate Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar, organised an Inter School Competition “Spark” in which 240 students from 14 different schools participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. 

Rajinder Mayor, Treasurer, KMV Managing Committee was the Chief Guest for the occasion Dr Deepali Luthra, Member, KMV Managing Committee participated as an eminent guest. College Principal, Prof. Atima Sharma and Veena Deepak, Co-ordinator, KMV Collegiate School gave a floral welcome to all the guests. Inauguration of the programme was done by lighting the lamp. College Principal, Prof. Atima Sharma welcomed all the participants and said that it was the chance for all the students to show their hidden talent.

Various competitions like Group Dance, Paper Presentation, Logic Bugg-Mugg, Rangoli, Extempore, Collage, Portrait, Photography, Short term Memory Quiz, Folk Song, Choreography, News Reading, News Reporting and General Knowledge Quiz were organised for the students.

On this occasion Rajinder Mayor KMV Managing Committee in his address mentioned that KMV is a very sacred place where Bhagat Singh had arrived who was very brave and courageous. Besides this, he also said that our five Presidents and Prime Ministers had also visited this sacred place called KMV. He praised the students for their efforts and congratulated them for performing on the stage which would bring happiness and prosperity in their life.

Dr. Deepali Luthra while addressing expressed her happiness to see the enthusiasm of the students and encouraged them not to worry about their success or failure. They should participate in every activity related to their growth. In the end, Principal Prof. Atima Sharma distributed all the prizes and congratulated all the winners.

The results of the event are as follows:

In Group Dance, Dayanand Model School got the first position. Second position was grabbed by the KMV Collegiate School and third prize was held by Police DAV school. Consolation prize was given to Sanskriti KMV School. In Logic Bugg-Mugg, first prize was given to Ravneet and Pankaj, Dayanand Model School. Second prize to Divya and Hardeep, KMV Collegiate School and third prize to Neelam and Jaskaran, Police DAV School. In Rangoli, first prize was given to Deepak, Lala Jagat Narayan DAV School. Second prize to Gulshan, Police DAV Public School and third to Nitika, Dayanand Model School. Consolation prize to Baljit Singh, Jalandhar Model School. In Extempore, first prize was given to Sanyam, Cambridge International School, 2nd prize to Japnam Singh, Govt. Model School Co-Edu. Sr. Sec. School, Jalandhar, 3rd prize to Jaspreet Kaur, KMV Collegiate School, Jal, Consolation prize to Aastha, Police DAV School.  In collage 1st prize to Harman,  KMV School, 2nd prize to Kritika Lala Jagat Narain School, 3rd prize to Sherry, DRV DAV School, Consolation prize to Paramjot.  In Potrait 1st prize to Harman, Police DAV, School, 2nd prize to Maneet, Cambridge International, 3rd prize to Manpreet, Lala Jagat Narain School, Consolation prize to Sandeep, KMV Collegiate School. In Photography 1st prize to PH2, KMV School, 2nd prize to PH4, Police DAV Public School, 3rd prize to PH1 Sanskriti KMV School and Consolation prize to Jalandhar Model School.  In Short Term Memory Quiz, 1st prize to Divya Nayyar, Dev Raj Girls School, 2nd prize to Naina, Dev raj Girl and 3rd prize to Manpreet KMV School.  In Folk Song, 1st prize to Police DAV Jal, 2nd prize to Lala Jagat Narain School and 3rd prize to KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School, Jalandhar.  In Choreography 1st prize to Police DAV School, 2nd prize to KMV School.  In News Reading Competition, 1st prize to Dev Raj Girls School, 2nd prize to Rajvir Police DAV School, 3rd prize to Kajal Sethi Dayanand Model Sr. Sechool and consolation prize to Ramandeep Kaur, Hindu Kanya College.  In News Reporting 1st prize to Raman, DAV School, 2nd prize to Navdeep Sanskriti KMV School, 3rd prize to Priyanka Police DAV School and Consolation prize to Mukul, Dayanand Model School, Jalandhar. In Paper Presentation 1st prize to Nisha Police DAV, 2nd prize to Rabinder Kaur & Anchal Sanskriti KMV School, 3rd prize to Kavya and Abhijeet DMS School and consolation prize to Radhika & Ajaypal DAV Phillaur.

In Quiz Competition 1st prize to Team A Google, Police DAV, 2nd prize to Team D Twitter, Hindu Kanya Collegiate Sr. Sec. School and 3rd prize to Team B Skype, Jalandhar Model School.  In Power Point Presentation 1st prize to Nisha Police DAV School, 2nd prize to Rabinder Kaur & Aanchal Sanskriti KMV School, 3rd prize to Kavya & Abhijeet Dayanand Model School and consolation prize to Radhika & Ajaypal DAV Phillaur.

Overall trophy was grabbed by Police DAV and First runner up trophy by KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School.  In the end, Principal Prof. Atima Sharma congratulated all the winner.
